The Naturista was an ideology long before it became a business. It was a belief that one could have jewelry pieces straight from nature without having to sacrifice to mass-manufacturing or buy beautiful home decor using upcycled material others might just toss in a landfill. We believe that sustainability is more than jut a catchphrase and we strive to live our lives with as little negative impact on the environment as possible. That mentality is reflected in our business practices: we choose local, small businesses to buy materials, we strive to make personal, lasting relationships with our customers, and we support and give back to our local communities.
Originally opened as a mother-daughter duo in South Carolina, The Naturista is now a conglomeration of like-minded individuals seeking to better their lifestyle and community. The Founding Duo
Liz is a wild and curly lady with a passion for whimsical, playful designs. She loves using mixed media to create one-of-a-kind pieces that will compliment the ascetics of any space. An avid art lover since childhood, she’s fostered that same love through teaching, community work, and programs for kids for more than twenty years. She’s constantly adding to her repertoire and expanding her horizons. Aside from adding beautiful pieces to The Naturista collections, she enjoys interior design, Scrabble, cooking, and road tripping.
Holly is a gypsy obsessed with design. Whether it’s for architecture, gardening, or the newest collection to add to the store, she’s always got a pen and paper nearby, ready to sketch out fresh ideas. When not working on one of her many business ventures, she can be found unplugged, soaking in nature, or on an adventure with her young family. Brittany is a multi-talented fashionista who joined the team as a designer and content writer. A gifted graphic designer and creator in her own right, her pieces add a modern flair and trendy style to your or your favorite little one’s wardrobe. A constant traveler, you’ll often find her trekking across the southeast, spending time with friends and family, or preparing for her wedding, which she’s planning herself.
