Natural living means more than eating clean, replacing harsh chemicals, getting rid of synthetic materials, and trying to do less harm to your little portion of the planet. Natural living means just that: Living naturally. To enjoy the full benefits of the lifestyle, you must change your life.
Sure, you can buy organic.
You can switch out chemicals with natural replacements.
And yeah, you can get rid of the plastic, petro-products, and synthetics in your house in favor of eco-friendly products.
But is that enough? What about the other toxins in your life?
Synthetic relationships and toxic situations can be just as damaging to your psyche, if not to your environment.
It isn’t always easy to start cutting friends or family out of your life. Habit, guilt, and emotions can keep you from making hard choices. But at the end of the day, you only have the one life and it’s up to you, and only you, to decide how to live it.
Don’t You Want Natural Love?
For me, I found the greatest peace when I left the bad situations that had me going through the motions in a facade of “life.” I was miserable and it impacted everything from my physical and mental well-being to my perception of the world and how much I cared about making it better. When you are constantly bombarded by the toxic, it’s easy to lose sight of what matters. And when you become apathetic to your own situation, it is so much easier to not care about the world around you.
I want natural love: Real, healthy, nourishing relationships. I don’t want to be bogged down by toxic lifestyles or relationships, and I don’t want my kids to grow up watching me accept negativity.
Wouldn’t it be great to dump that kind of life that’s weighing you down too? What’s stopping you?
This Valentine’s Day, I challenge you to find the natural love in your life. The things, hobbies, and people that nourish you. Thank them for being a part of your world.
